Maria Clara García
- Founder Visionarium Founder & CEO
An international youth education specialist with more than 35 years of experience as a professor, mentor and educational consultant. Maria Clara is a distinguished professor at Nueva Granada School in Bogotá and Marymount School in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she developed programs that give students the tools and the environment to reach their full potential beyond the classroom.
In Barranquilla she founded BAMUN, a student-run Model United Nations for students across Colombia, which grew into COLMUN, a national Model UN whose delegations competed internationally in Washington DC and New York. Her students have gone on to become members of Congress, executives at multinational companies, lawyers, innovators and social reformers.
She currently serves as Secretary General of the United Nations Association of Colombia, UNACOLOMBIA — and as the founder of Visionarium she continues to build strategies for student success, youth empowerment and leadership.
