Dr. Macdonald is the Senior Director of education and Policy, and Co-Director of the American Museum of Natural History MAT program. She has more than 40 years of experience in the education sector directing international programs for educators, implementing trainer's programs in migrant communities, instructing, advising and researching. For the past 19 years, Dr.
Macdonald has held different positions at the American Museum of Natural history in New York in the areas of exhibition evaluation and policy, program design, funding, partnership development, developing and teaching graduate courses, implementation, research, and evaluation of initiatives with local and international universities and museums.
She is a Doctor in Education with Specialization in teacher Education and Curriculum Development from Columbia's University Teachers College and is recipient of a Honorary Doctoral degree from Bank Street College of Education.
